Welcome to kod
kod is the Kubernetes Offline Deployment tool.
kod makes it easy to take public helm charts and their container images and move them as a single archive to a private registry for installation into an air-gapped Kubernetes instance. kod also supports the packaging of helmfile definitions to enable the packaging and ordered installation of a set of Helm charts to different namespaces.

We're new!
This project was only started in April 2026, and so we're still working on our Alpha quality releases. Please be patient with us as we develop this new tool. Even better, Raise an Issue or Request a feature on the kod Issues tracker. All feedback is welcome! We aim to have a full v1.0.0 release as soon as possible. The tool can be evaluated already though using our examples.
We evaluate our current Technology Readiness Level (TRL) as TRL3. This means we have a Proof of Concept level tool which has not been evaluated or used by outside organisations yet. Below is a brief explanation of the TRL levels:-
